Cultural Differences in Hot Water Bathing: A Surprising Discovery

Growing up in Taiwan, I never realised that Malaysia doesn't have the common gas water heaters we're used to. Instead, Malaysians mostly use instant water heaters. This revelation shocked me—perhaps because such types are rare in Taiwan.

Having lived in Taipei, I had never seen these "instant" water heaters. They need to be installed on the bathroom wall and provide hot water as soon as you turn on the power. Our Malaysian house also had another type of heater I'd never used in Taiwan, the storage electric water heater.

The storage electric water heater heats cold water to a certain temperature and stores it in a built-in tank. When you turn on the shower, hot water is ready to use. Comparing the two, I prefer the storage heater because it offers stable water temperature and, with a pressure pump, makes bathing a delight.

From Customer Service to Installation, Experience Unmatched Security and Professionalism

In early 2024, the storage water heater in our master bedroom started acting up—temperatures fluctuated, and sometimes it wouldn't heat at all. Bathing became a nightmare, and the instant heater couldn't meet my needs for stable temperature and pressure. That's when I decided to replace our old storage heater.

By chance, I met the Esio water heater team from Taiwan and was thrilled to see their entry into the Malaysian market! The Esio team asked about our hot water usage habits, calculated our daily needs, and even inspected our bathroom setup. They developed a customised plan for us and explained everything in detail, bringing their engineers to take measurements. This level of professionalism was unprecedented in my years in Malaysia.

On installation day, the Esio team and their engineers took their time to ensure everything was perfect. They even fixed existing issues in our home. When hot water finally filled the bathtub, I was moved to tears, seeing a Taiwanese product excel abroad.

Why I Chose Esio's Storage Water Heater

Some might wonder why I opted for a storage heater when instant heaters are cheaper and easier to install. In Malaysia, homes often lack separate hot and cold water pipes, making instant heaters the default choice. However, with our bathtub, an instant heater couldn’t maintain the necessary temperature.

Esio’s storage heater solved this issue by providing consistent hot water and reducing heating time. Their 70 litre storage heater was perfect for our needs, ensuring we always have a reliable and enjoyable bathing experience.

Esio: Transforming Bathing into Pure Enjoyment

Older storage water heaters were inefficient and poorly insulated. In contrast, Esio's heater stops heating once the water reaches the set temperature and maintains it, saving electricity and preventing waste. It heats water three times faster than our old heater. For example, I just need to turn it on 5 minutes before my shower, and the water reaches above 40°C, staying constant throughout.

Although Malaysia is warm year-round, the cooler rainy season makes insufficient hot water a concern. Esio’s heater, with its patented technology and unique tank structure, ensures a stable temperature above 40°C, making daily showers a luxurious experience.

I'm grateful to Esio for bringing such an exceptional storage water heater to Malaysia. I hope more Malaysians will recognise and appreciate the Esio brand, making it a symbol of Taiwanese pride in Malaysia!
