If there’s a power trip, how to restore it?

To reset the water heater switch, it's essential to address the situation accordingly. Typically, power trips occur for two main reasons: Main Power Trip and ELCB Trip. Kindly refer to the following information for the methods to reset the switches for various models.

Main Power Trip: Main power switch in the main electrical panel box

Recommended solution:
Begin by locating the main electrical panel box and identifying the power switch dedicated to the water heater. If you find that it has tripped, simply reset it to the "ON" position. Following this procedure, your water heater should promptly resume operation, displaying the temperature accordingly.

💡 It is compulsory to wear insulated hand gloves while performing the operation to prevent accidents.

ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) Trip: The built-in ELCB in the water heater has tripped

Recommended solution:
At Esio, we offer three different series of Storage Water Heater which is E series, S series, and Undersink series. For your information, the location of the ELCB may differ for each series and installation types. We've outlined user-friendly methods for resetting the ELCB switches across all our series. Kindly refer to the information below for more details:

1. Series E

At the rear side of the water heater, you will find an ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) encased in a transparent plastic casing. Simply flip the lever from “OFF” to “ON” to turn on your water heater.

• Horizontal Installation: Flip the ELCB from right to left to switch on the water heater.
• Vertical Installation: Flip the ELCB from down to top to switch on the water heater.

 

2. Series S

Using a Phillips screwdriver, carefully remove the cover plate of the power display. Locate the ELCB (Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) labeled with "Power" and "Load", equipped with a lever. Switch the lever from “OFF” to “ON” to turn on your water heater.

• Vertical Installation: Flip the ELCB from left to right to switch on the water heater.
• Horizontal Installation: Flip the ELCB from down to top to switch on the water heater.

 

3. Undersink

At the plug socket, kindly press the RESET button, ensuring that the indicator light (RED ON) illuminates.
