What should I do if there are abnormalities with the red and green lights?

If the red light is ON,

When the red light is on, it typically indicates two conditions: either the heating indicator light or the internal signal light in the water heater.
  1. Heating indicator light: Located on either the water heater's outer casing or the display panel. When the water heater is heating up, you'll notice the red light turning on, signaling the heating process. Once heating is complete, the red light will automatically turn off.

  2. Internal signal light: The signal emitted by the built-in temperature control component IC board and located inside the water heater, serves as an assurance that your appliance is operating as intended. Rest assured that this signal does not indicate any malfunction or pose any safety risks.

When both temperature display and red/green lights are on, but there is no hot water

  • Possible reason 1: The heating element or the wires connecting to the heating element may be damaged.

Recommended solution: Submit home repair requests, let Esio’s professional technicians conduct an on-site inspection.

  • Possible reason 2: The water supply was suspended.

Recommended solution: Please contact the water supply company in your area (Johor: Ranhill SAJ) and inquire about the estimated time for water restoration.

  • Possible reason 3: The water pipe is broken, and the faucet is not working

Recommended solution: Please arrange for technicians to repair the faulty pipes or faucet to ensure an uninterrupted bathing experience and water usage.

When both the temperature display and red/green lights are off, and there is no hot water

If none of the indicator lights are on, it indicates that the machine is not receiving power. This could be due to the built-in Panasonic Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) tripping or the main power switch tripping due to overloading.

The inspection methods are as follows:

  1. Check at the main electrical panel box to confirm if the water heater's dedicated circuit breaker has tripped.
  2. Check the water heater's built-in Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) to see if it has tripped.

Ensure that both switches are in the ON position.

Series E

  • Horizontal Installation: Flip the ELCB from right to left to switch on the water heater.
  • Vertical Installation: Flip the ELCB from down to top to switch on the water heater.

Series S

  • Vertical Installation: Flip the ELCB from left to right to switch on the water heater.
  • Horizontal Installation: Flip the ELCB from down to top to switch on the water heater.

If both switches are confirmed to be in the ON position, yet the temperature display and red/green lights remain OFF, and there is no hot water, it is recommended to submit online home repair requests and have Esio’s professional technicians conduct an on-site inspection.
